About the Institute
Richard Tigges and his institute support the implementation of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in PR and marketing. For several years, the communications scientist has been giving international lectures on this topic and is the author of the professional book Can AI Communicate? (2025).
Within the nationwide CommTech working group, he co-leads the Technology Cluster together with Christof Schmid. Tigges has held leadership positions for over three decades, most recently as Director of Global Strategic Communications at AUDI AG, where he was responsible for the digitization of core processes and the use of AI.
The journalist studied communication science, media law and politics, and is a graduate of the German School of Journalism (DJS) in Munich. He spent the first years of his career in the media as a radio and television news presenter and editor.
